Finnish Language and Integration Training
Sedu provides Finnish language and integration training for students with an immigrant background who are clients of the TE Office and need to strengthen their Finnish language skills to enter working life or further education and to integrate into Finland.
The aim of the training is to give students the basic Finnish language skills they need to function in everyday life, working life and vocational studies.
The training is carried out as face-to-face training and the study plan is tailored to the student's individual needs. The training may also include work-based learning.
At least 1 training group per year will be conducted entirely online, with the teacher teaching via Teams. Students are expected to have their own computer, webcam, and a working internet connection. If necessary, equipment can also be borrowed from Sedu.
Around 250 Finnish language and integration students study at Sedu each year. Those who have completed integration training have a good chance of applying for vocational training.
HOW DO YOU APPLY FOR INTEGRATION TRAINING?
Applicants for Finnish language and integration training must be clients of the TE Office and have an integration plan. If the integration plan includes language and integration training, the TE Office will enroll the student in integration training.
Sometimes this may include a language level test before starting the training.
